JACKSONVILLE —
September 11 is a solemn day of remembrance for Americans, and the day holds a special place in the hearts of local firefighters as they remember the firefighters who lost their lives trying to save others as the towers, planes and parts of the Pentagon fell to the ground. Jacksonville firefighter and paramedic James Bentley lowered the flag in Hazel Tilton Park on Monday to honor all who lost their lives 11 years ago today.
