RUSK —
An Alto man who returned to his job at Rusk State Hospital with a gunshot wound in his shoulder apparently shot himself, Cherokee County Sheriff's Department said Thursday.
Garrett Scott Curtis confirmed he had made up the story he'd told Detectives Michael Goff and Joe Ray about an altercation and disagreement with others.
At this time, no criminal charges are being filed against Curtis.
Billy Bateman is in the Wal-mart parking lot collecting supplies.
