Reserve Grand Champion Wes O’Connell of Jacksonville prepares for the hay auction at the Cherokee County Hay Sale Thursday. His bale, with 23.07 percent crude protein and 58.96 total digestible nutrients, sold for $900 and was bought by Steel Fertilizer. South Side Bank and County Line Feed added $100 and $50 to the price, respectively, for $1,050.
