Sheriff's office investigates a drug operation in the Bullard area

BULLARD — On Sept. 24, at approximately 4 p.m., the narcotics division of the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office executed a narcotics search at a residence located at 390 Tarrant Rd. (County Road 3705) near Bullard.

Upon executing the search warrant, officers located and seized approximately two ounces of marijuana inside the residence along with fourteen marijuana plants, which were discovered outside the residence.



During a subsequent search of the residence, officers also located four firearms along with several other items of paraphernalia and evidence.

Investigators identified three suspects at the scene but no arrest were made at the time of the search warrant.

Charges are pending and arrest warrants will be ought on at least one of the suspects located at the residence.

The search warrant , which was signed by District Judge Dwight D. Phifer, was the culmination of an ongoing investigation which also included other narcotics search warrant which was executed Sept. 14 in the Mount Selman area in which one person was arrested for possession or marijuana.
