RUSK — On Sept. 23, at approximately 1 a.m., the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an aggravated assault, which occurred in the Woodville Community on County Road 1209 outside of Rusk.
The victim of the assault received numerous lacerations on his face and upper torso during the assault and was transported to Trinity MotherFrances – Jacksonville where he was transported by helicopter to East Texas Medical Center in Tyler.
No suspect as been identified at this time.
