Most power restored after Central Texas storms

AUSTIN — Electricity has been restored to most customers following weekend Central Texas storms that knocked out power to about 3,000 homes and businesses.

Austin Energy officials say about two dozen customers were without power Monday.

Storms packing heavy rain and lightning rolled through the Austin area Saturday night. The utility says lightning damaged five transformers and the equipment was replaced Sunday.
