A Jacksonville Independent School District student was sent to a local hospital Monday afternoon following a wreck.
The JISD school bus in which the student was riding struck a silver Kia four door vehicle on Loop 456 at about 4 p.m. Authorities said the bus driver was shown to be at fault.
According to the crash report, the primary causes of the accident were failure to control speed on the rain-soaked road and/or driver inattention.
The identities of the drivers were not released Monday afternoon, though the children inside the bus were from more than one JISD campus.
