JACKSONVILLE —
The beautiful wedding ceremony of Kristal Smith and Jay Morris was held June 21, 2010, on the beach of The Royal in Cancun, Mexico.
Family and friends joined them as they exchanged vows at the sunset ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Jerry and Penny Payne of Chapel Hill.
The groom’s parents are Rick and Barbara Turner of Jacksonville.
The bride was escorted to the alter by her step-father.
She was stunning in a white satin, off the shoulder, Maggie Sottero gown embellished with swarovski crystals.
She carried a mixed arrangement of lilies and roses.
Attending as bridesmaids were Krisi Gray and Sonja Hampshire, friends of the bride.
Matron of honor was Amber Moore, friend of the bride.
Matt Turner, brother of the groom, was best man.
Immediately following the ceremony a mariachi band played as hors d’oevres were served.
Following the cocktail reception, dinner was served on the terrace overlooking the Caribbean.
After an extended stay in Cancun for their honeymoon, Kristal and Jay now reside in Flint.
