Meredith Grace Higginbotham and Jeremy Ryan Davis of Dallas were married June 18, 2011, at 5:00 pm in a double-ring ceremony at Central Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Texas.
Officiant was Rev. Tim Ahlen of Dallas.
Miles Pike of Jacksonville was the soloist for the ceremony and sang “Surely the Presence of the Lord is in This Place” and “When I Say I Do”. Mark Parker of Dallas accompanied him with the piano. Margie Adams of Rusk was the organist and played the wedding march and the recessional.
The bride is the daughter of Ernest and Marcia Higginbotham of Jacksonville. She is the granddaughter of Lewie and Hellen Slider and Ernest and Wanda Higginbotham of Jacksonville.
The bridegroom is the son of Billy and Julia Davis of Watauga. He is the grandson of Francis Davis of Jacksonville.
The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a white breathtaking Oleg Cassini designer slim A-line gown. Beaded lace and pleated tiers of tulle merged to create a one-of-a-kind, timeless look with a chapel train. The veil was short with a flower scallop and was embellished with Swarovski crystals.
Maid of honor was Lynzee Loch of Gainesville.
Bridesmaids were Rachel Wimberley of Athens, Meridith McCaslin of Dallas, Sara Slider of Jacksonville, and Jenna Davis of Dallas.
Best Man was PJ Davis of Dallas.
Groomsmen were Allen Kuchera of Jacksonville, Raul Molina of Fort Worth, Robert Brown of Dallas, and Blayne Smith of Jacksonville.
Flower girl was Jasmine Slider of Houston, and ring bearer was Jordan Slider of Houston.
Ushers were Mark Davis of Athens, Luke Davis of Athens, Kyle Taylor of Galveston, Daniel Tucci of Austin, and Joe Barrientos of Austin.
The reception was held at The Legacy in Jacksonville immediately following the ceremony.
Meredith was the Valedictorian of the Jacksonville High School class of 2006 and a 2009 graduate of Texas A&M University at College Station, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science. She is currently attending Baylor College of Dentistry at Dallas where she will graduate in 2014 as a Doctor of Dental Surgery.
Jeremy was the Valedictorian of the Jacksonville High School class of 2005 and a 2008 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology. He was also a 2010 graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University where he earned a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology. He is currently employed at DAVA Oncology, LP in Dallas.
Following a honeymoon cruise to Cozumel, the couple will reside in Dallas.
