TAPPS:Brook Hill girls whitewash First Baptist

BULLARD — Freshman, Charlie Niles scored 13-points to spark the Brook Hill Lady Guard to a 52-16 bombing of Dallas First Baptist Academy on Tuesday night at Herrington Gymnasium.

Freshman point guard Morgan Moss added 12-points, while sophomore post Samantha Anderson scored 12-points and added 12 rebounds to improve the season mark to 11-9; and 3-2 in District 4, Division III girls action.

Niles made the first basket of the second quarter to give Brook Hill a ten-point, 11-1 advantage.

Later in the third quarter, a rebound and put back by Anderson made it a 26-6 affair before settling in with a 34-8 lead with one quarter left.

The lone senior, Alyssa Eden scored six-points and made two free throws early in the final period to up the lead to 40-10. Niles scored eight of her points in the final period before Moss sank two charity tosses to widen the gap to a 50-13 count with 1:11 left in the game.

First Baptist turned the ball over 31-times due to a tenacious Lady Guard defense that hed First Baptist to two, second quarter baskets to trail 18-6 a intermission.. The Lady Saints were led in scoring by three players with three-points apiece, Tatianna Abeni, Alyssa Wood, and Kristen Anderson.
