JACKSONVILLE — A somewhat light local schedule of prep basketball action is on tap for this evening as most teams are in late-season travel mode.
Bullard hosts Gladewater in a boy/girl double dip with the varisty girls (10-10, 8-1 16-3A) slated to tip at 6:15 p.m., followed by the varsity boy's game at 7:30 p.m.
The Panthers (13-13, 4-3) continue to stay alive in the battle for a playoff spot.
Up the road at Brook Hill, the Guard and Lady Guard will be entertaining Dallas-First Baptist in district play.
The No. 10-ranked Jacksonville Fight'n Indians (28-0) play at last-place Lindale tonight (7:30 p.m.), but will return home Friday to welcome in Corsicana.
A girls game between the two schools will begin about 6:15 p.m.
Lindale's Lady Eagles currently lead in the 16-4A standings.
District play continues for New Summerfield's team as well with the Lady Hornets and Hornets playing in Cushing this evening.
The varsity girls will get the night started at 5 p.m.,followed by the varsity boy's affair.
The Hornets are 5-0 in conference and sit alone in first place in the league standings.
The Eagles of Rusk will take a recess from Distirct 19-3A action by traveling to Kilgore for a non-conference outing against the Bulldogs from District 16-3A.
