JACKSONVILLE — Springer led his team with 18 points as JC improved to 20-7, 11-5 in conference.
The Loss dropped the Rebels to 17-9, 9-6.
JC led by as many as 18 points, 42-24, with just over six minutes to go in the opening half, but Lee cut it to a 50-42 differential at the break.
The Jags ended up taking the lead for good when they moved ahead 20-17 with 12:06 to go in the first half.
Lee pulled to within three in the first minute of the final period and to within four near the half-way point of the half, but that was as close as they would be able to get.
The rather chippy game saw a total of four technical fouls being called. Three of which were give to Lee players and one to JC head coach Jody Bailey.
The Rebels' Jamal Jones ended the game with 24 points to lead all scorers, while Lee's Deng Deng hauled in a game-high 13 caroms.
Daniel Skinner (17) and Mike Manning (16) also finished in double figures for JC.
JC shot 76.9% (20-26) from the free throw stripe, while Lee went 17-30 (56.7%) from the charity line.
The Jags do not play again until next Saturday when they visit Angelina College.
