BULLARD —
Brook Hill quarterback Will Weathers gave Cedar Hill Trinity Christian a demonstration of what a dual-threat quarterback really is last Friday night.
The Guard signal caller scampered for two touchdowns and threw for three more as the guard crushed the Tigers, 33-24, to move to 5-1 overall, 3-0 in TAPPS Division II, District 2.
Brook Hill will now play host to Dallas Christian (6-0, 3-0) at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Herrington Stadium, with the winner having the upper hand at securing a district title at this juncture.
Weathers rifled a 74-yard scoring strike to Seth Brasher, who has emerged as the Guard's leading receiver, and also connected with Chase McDermott on a 24-yard scoring reception.
Gabe Lucio added a touchdown run for the winners.
The Guard's offense should face a formidable test this week as the Dallas Christian defense has held foes to an average of nine points a game so far in 2012.
Brook Hill's district winning streak now stands at 29 games.
