Sub-varsity tennis: JMS whips up on Whitehouse, 22-11

Whitehouse — The Jacksonville Middle School tennis team went into Whitehouse on Tuesday and hammered the home team, 22-11.

Jacksonville won a couple of doubles matches on the boy's side, as well as two of the girl's doubles matches.

Winners for the boys were, the teams of Conner Coughlin & Evan Yount and the pairings of Trayvion Montgomery-Horn & Dustin Smith.

Hannah Roper & Lauren Fitts and Cheyenne Vasser & Ashlyn Miller were successful in girl's doubles play.

Winners of singles matches were (boys): Austin Pierce, Adam Verhelle, Conner Coughlin, Evan Yount and Trayvion Montgomery-Horn.

Winners of girl's singles matches for JMS were: Hannah Roper, Victoria Martinez and Lauren Fitts.

JMS will take on Center at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the JHS Tennis Complex.

That will be the team's only appearance in town this fall.
