Bullard loses finale to Spring Hill

LONGVIEW — Spring Hill’s Dylan Brown passed for 127 yards and three touchdowns and also rushed for two scores as Spring Hill had little trouble in defeating Bullard, 56-7, in the final game of 2009 for both teams.

Spring Hill (2-6, 2-3 in District 17-3A) scored two touchdowns in the opening stanza and led 35-0 at the break.

Bullard’s score came on a 79-yard run by quarterback, Marquez Franklin, that came with 3:40 remaining in the game. Santiago Escobar tacked on the point after touchdown to account for the final Bullard point.

Spring Hill outgained Bullard 411 to 210 total yards in the contest.

Bullard ends the year 1-9, 0-5 in district, with the Panthers’ victory coming over Troup in Week 3.
