TROUP — Apparently their efforts did not go unnoticed as the Troup girls checked in at No. 9 in the Texas Girls Coaches Association Class 2A poll, which came out at mid- afternoon Monday.
Included in Troup's wins in Carthage were three victories over state ranked outfits.
In the finals, the Lady Tigers clipped Beckville, 5-2. Beckville is ranked No. 5 in Class A.
The Lady Tigers also polished off then No. 5 (Class 2A) Linden-Kildare twice by scores of 2-1 and 5-0.
Katelyn Standley and Josee Ross were named to the All-Tournament team from Troup.
Troup is 6-0-1 on the year and will take on Carthage in Carthage at 5:30 p.m.Tuesday night.
