Indians drop a close one to John Tyler in finale

JHS draws Lancaster as bi-district opponent

TYLER — Nevertheleess. the 32-1 Indians are the District 16-4A champions, having finished a game in front of runner-up John Tyler.

The Tribe led 28-27 at the break, but John Tyler outscored Jacksonville 27-20 in the final 16 minutes of play.

Tribe head coach Brent Kelley said late Tuesday night that Lancaster won fourth place in District 15-4A on Tuesday and will be the Indians' first-round opponent in the Class 4A state playoffs early next week.
