MOUNT ENTERPRISE — The Lady Hornets of New Summerfield downed Mount Enterprise 54-38 to sew up the final playoff spot out of District 21-A-I on Tuesday in Mt. Enterprise.
NS used a 15-3 third period run to notch the victory.
Maritzza Melendez and Simone Derrett led NS with 18 points each.
Ramie Weaver added six, followed by Cristal Zuniga with five.
The Lady Hornets will take a 18-12, 6-4 record into next week's bi-district game against an opponent to be determined.
Mt. Enterprise finished up fourth in tthe district standings.
The Galcats were sparked by Alexys Hammett's 11 points.
