HOUSTON —
Three Lady Jaguars ended the night in double figures as the Jacksonville College women's basketball team had little difficulty in upping their docket to 15-12 overall, 7-6 in Region XIV, after departing Houston with a 72-56 win over San Jacinto on Wednesday evening.
Khadijah Carter pumped in 23 points to ignite the Lady Jaguars, Jasmine Robinson accounted for 14 points and Susan Agesen tossed in 11.
Carter, a freshman from Goodrich, Texas, leads JC is scoring (18.6 ppg.) and in rebounding (10.1 rpg).
Heading into the San Jac game Carter had a team-high 113 offensive rebounds.
Other players of impact for JC were Deva'Nyar Workman and Jinaki Robinson, who each scored eight points.
Workman, in 18 games this season, is averaging 11.7 points, 9.3 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game.
The Lady Jags are now in fourth place in the league standings.
They are a half game behind third-place Angelina College and are two games in front of fifth-place Kilgore College (10-11, 5-8).
Next up for the JC ladies is Kilgore. The Lady Rangers will be in Jacksonville for a 4 p.m. game on Saturday.
