Troup volleyball earns bi-district win over Tatum

Longview —  It took a full five sets, but at the end of the long night Troup had defeated Tatum 3-2 (25-14, 24-26, 25-10, 15-25, 15-9) in a Class 2A, Region III bi-District match that took place Tuesday night at LeTourneau’s Solheim Arena.

The Lady Tigers (24-16) will move on to play Palestine Westwood at a time to be announced on Saturday at Lindale High School.

Tatum saw its season come to end with a 21-14 docket.

Chaney Cover batted down eight kills and pitched in with 13 digs and eight service aces to spark Troup.

Hunter Jordan had 25 assists to go along with a pair of spikes for Troup.

A back-line gem by Cover sparked the Lady Tigers to victory in Game 5.
