BULLARD —
Brook Hill will host Irving The Highlands in a TAPPS, Division III Area Round match at 6 p.m. this evening at Herrington Gymnasium.
The Lady Guard (22-4) are coached by Joanna Rathbun.
The Brook Hill girls knocked off Carrollton Christian Academy, 3-2, late last week to earn the right to face the Lady Blazers.
The Highlands comes into the match having won four of its last five matches, including a 3-0 decision over Carrollton Christian earlier this month.
The Lady Blazers defeated Richardson Canyon Creek, 3-0, on Tuesday to advance to Area play.
The winner of tonight’s contest will move onto the regional round and will face either Flower Mound Coram Deo or Amarillo San Jacinto at a neutral site location to be determined.
The exact date of that match has not been finalized.
Brook Hill rolled through distirct play with an 8-0 record and has recorded several wins over UIL member schools.
