University of Texas-Austin signee, Tiara Davis, took the loss in the circle for Henderson.
"This is a huge win for our program and a tremendous confidence builder for our girls," Rusk head coach Ashley Renner said. "If we can beat the No. 1 team in Texas with Tiara Davis pitching, we should be able to beat just about anybody."
Rusk will visit Carthage at 6 p.m. Friday.
