ARP —  Ryan Powell, a senior and an All-District choice from a year ago, hurled Troup to a 13-5 triumph over rival Arp Tuesday evening in Arp.

Troup (6-2, 2-0 18-2A) was able to keep pace with Sabine at the top of the league standings as a result of the victory.

The Tigers scored in every inning except the first one and managed to hand a three spot onto the scoreboard in both the sixth and seventh innings.

Troup carried a 10-2 lead into the final segment.

Tanner Emery and Powell both doubled for the winners.

Chase Bonner was charged with the pitching loss for Arp (2-3, 0-1).
