BULLARD —
Zack Holladay will be capping off his storied athletic career at Bullard High School by competing in the THSPA State Championship Meet, which will be held in Abilene on March 23.
Holladay, who will be playing football at University of Mary Hardin Baylor in the fall, took first place in the 181-pound division of the Region 3, Division 2 Championships, that took place at Rusk's Eagle Coliseum late last week.
Holladay had success with a total of 1,340 pounds to defeat the runner up Joseph Clark of Chapel Hill by 20 pounds.
Holladay squatted 500 pounds, handled 315 pounds in bench press and dead lifted 525 pounds to claim first place.

The last ride of the night turned out to be the most spectacular ride of the evening Wednesday night when Austin Meier scored an 87 for his ride atop "Rainbow" in the final segment of bull riding on the opening night of the Tops In Texas PRCA Rodeo.
