JACKSONVILLE —
A full card of high school volleyball action is slated to take place tonight with the feature action scheduled for Panther Gymnasium in Bullard where the Lady Panthers will be looking to rebound from a couple of losses in the Tyler Tournament on Friday by host ing All Saints Episcopal and Arp in a tri-match.
Action is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.
Bullard lost to Eustace 2-0 (22-25, 22-25) before being stopped by a strong Longview team.
The Lady Lobos won in two sets (25-18, 25-19).
Against Eustace, Mady Hodges had six digs while Mackenzie Fish contributed a half dozen kills.
Meredith Daly also performed well – five kills and two blocks, with Bri Ridgley chipping in six assists, five digs and a service ace.
Top contributors for the Lady Panthers in the Longview match were, Dale (four kills, three blocks), Hodges with six digs and Ashley Searcy who added two blocks.
Lexi Abercrombie netted five digs while Ridgley had six assists to go along with a back-line gem.
Jacksonville will be looking to get back on the winning track by journeying to Frankston in a battle of the Fight'n Maidens.
Varsity action, which will follow matches by the freshmen and junior varsity teams, should get under way around 6:30 p.m.
The Jacksonville girls will return home to take on Palestine at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
The Lady Eagles of Rusk will wind up a long road trip tonight by visiting Van at 7 p.m.
Rusk is scheduled to host Crockett at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
