JACKSONVILLE —
On the strength of the Center girls’ play Saturday — the Lady ‘Riders swept the Maiden netters in singles play — Center was able to squeeze out a 10-9 win over Jacksonville in a non-district match that was played in Center.
Jacksonville is now 1-2 on the year, heading into Tuesday’s District 14-4A opening match against Hallsville.
The Tribe went 3-0 in boy’s doubles and 4-2 in boy’s singles to highlight the Jacksonville effort.
Mercer Day, Kyle Crosby, and Morgan Weaver were double winners for the Indians, wining both their singles and doubles matches, respectively.
Dylan Hanna also posted a pair of wins, in boys singles and in mixed doubles where he was paired with Ellie Day.
