JACKSONVILLE — Jacksonville’s Amber Brannan shoots the ball from the perimeter during a recent match against Center. The Fightin’ Maiden soccer squad plays its last regular-season match at 6 p.m. tonight in the Tomato Bowl against Diboll. Jacksonville (8-8-6, 5-2-1 in District 35-4A) is in a battle for second place in the loop rankings. Regardless of the outcome of tonight’s match, the Maidens have wrapped up a playoff spot. The Class 4A state playoffs (bi-district) open on March 22 and 23.
