Brook Hill’s Chappelle named TAPPS District 4-3A’s top player

MILLEDGEVILL, Ga. —

BULLARD — TAPPS District 4-3A coaches recently recognized the outstanding achievements of several members of The Brook Hill School’s boys basketball team — a team that finished the year as the state Class 3A runner-up.

Earning Most Valuable Player honors is Jeremey Chappelle.

The Jacksonville native led the Guard in scoring and recently signed a football scholarship to attend Stephen F. Austin State University.

Tyler Baker, a junior, also claimed a superlative award, winning the loop’s Offensive Player of the Year honors.

Guard head coach, Wally Dawkins, was chosen as the conference’s Coach of the Year.

Dawkins molded the Guard into the state’s No. 1 -ranked team, a ranking which the team maintained for most of the season.

Other members of the Guard receiving post-season recognition include, Mason Spradlin (First Team All-District) — Chappelle and Baker also garnered First Team mention — and Austin Langemeier and Luke Clardy who made their way onto the Second Team All-District roll.
