JACKSONVILLE —
Having an overall record of 2-24 (1-5 in conference), there obviously hasn’t been a lot to cheer about when it comes to Lon Morris College baseball in 2010; however, a couple of the Bearcats continue to perform well.
Freshman, Will Allen, is currently ranked No. 31 in hitting among all Region XIV players.
He is hitting .350 (21-for-60) with two home runs and 12 RBIs.
Benito Santiago, Jr., a sophomore, is batting .329 (26-of-79) and has one homer and six RBIs. to go along with 10 stolen bases.
The Bearcats continue Region XIV East Zone action by hosting Texarkana College (18-10, 2-2 in East Zone) in a doubleheader that starts at 1 p.m. today. LMC continues the homestand at 1 p.m. Friday by entertaining the Cavaliers of Bossier Parish Community College (18-13, 2-2).
