CORSICANA —
The Jacksonville High School boy's basketball team will put their perfect record (24-0 overall, 1-0 District 16-4A) on the line at 7:30 p.m. tonight when the Tribe are scheduled to face the Bulldogs of Corsicana at their place.
Jacksonville held on to the No. 12 spot in the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches/Texas Prep Basketball magazine Class 4A poll, which was released at mid day Monday.
The Indians opened league play by destroying Lindale, 49-22, Friday night in Jacksonville.
Jacksonville faces a tall order this week in also having to visit Nacogdoches on Friday evening.
Corsicana currently stands 19-5 on the year.
The Bulldogs dropped their district opener to Whitehouse (79-57) on Friday night in Whitehouse and will be looking to rebound from that loss tonight.
Jacksonville and Corsicana both have wins over Waco LaVega and Woden this season.
The Tribe are coached by Brent Kelley, who needs just three victories to reach the 100-career win plateau.

The last ride of the night turned out to be the most spectacular ride of the evening Wednesday night when Austin Meier scored an 87 for his ride atop "Rainbow" in the final segment of bull riding on the opening night of the Tops In Texas PRCA Rodeo.
