JACKSONVILLE —
The Jacksonville Fight'n Maiden Basketball Camp will take place on July 9-12 at the Jacksonville Gymnasium.
The camp will be under the direction of Tony Harris and will be for young ladies entering grades 5-9 this fall.
Camp will take place from 9 a.m. until noon each day.
Coach Harris said that the camp will feature individualized instruction, quantity and quality repetitions and will give all participants equal playing time.
Individual awards and certificates will be given and a daily devotional will take place.
Campers should come dressed in a T-shirt, shorts and athletic shoes.
A towel and sports drinks is also recommended.
Registration forms make be downloaded from the jisd.org web site, or may be picked up at the high school Fieldhouse (Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-4-p.m.).

After two live quarters and a pair of 10-minute running-clock periods the first Jacksonville Blue vs. White spring football scrimmage since 2004 ended in a 107-107 tie Friday night at Tomato Bowl.

Fight'n Indians set to scrimmage tonight
Jacksonville High School will be wrapping up spring football practice by staging a Blue vs. White scrimmage at 6 p.m. this evening at Tomato Bowl.

The last ride of the night turned out to be the most spectacular ride of the evening Wednesday night when Austin Meier scored an 87 for his ride atop "Rainbow" in the final segment of bull riding on the opening night of the Tops In Texas PRCA Rodeo.
