DENTON —
Brook Hill limited Denton-Selwyn College Prep to just three first-half points as the Guard rolled to a 58-30 season-opening triumph over the Unicorns in a TAPPS non-district game that was played in Denton Tuesday night.
Brook Hill led 31-3 at the break to take the mystery out of things early on.
Alex Hale and Andrew Swink led Brook Hill in scoring with 14 points apiece and Grant Hanks pumped in12 points.
Swink hit a pair of triples in the game as well.
Nate Brandon led the Unicorns by flipping in 13 points.
Chase McDermott added six for the Guard, who were scheduled to battle Grace Community School at 1:30 p.m. today in the first round of the All Saints Tournament.

The last ride of the night turned out to be the most spectacular ride of the evening Wednesday night when Austin Meier scored an 87 for his ride atop "Rainbow" in the final segment of bull riding on the opening night of the Tops In Texas PRCA Rodeo.
