TYLER — John Tyler outscored Jacksonville 27-20 in the second half and rallied from a one-point halftime deficit to slip by the Tribe 54-48 in front of crowd of over 2,000 at the Lion’s Den in Tyler Tuesday evening.

The win came in the regular-season finale for both teams.

Jacksonville is now 32-1 on the year

The Tribe led 28-27 at intermission.

The Indians finished a game in front of the Lions and clinched a district crown with their win over Whitehouse last Friday.

Jacksonville, ranked No. 10 in the current Class 4=A poll, will open the playoffs early next week against either Mansfield Lake Ridge or Lancaster.

The Indians will draw the No. 4 seed out of District 15-4A in the bi-District round.
