LINDALE —
Jacksonville's 18-14 halftime lead wasn't enough in the end as Lindale roared back in the second half and went on to defeat the Maidens 42-32 in District 16-4A play on Tuesday.
Jacksonville (16-5, 3-5 District 16-4A) is tied with Whitehouse for fourth place (and the final playoff spot) in the conference.
The Maidens close out the regular season with a pair of home games against Corsicana (6:15 p.m. Friday) and Nacogdoches on Tuesday.
Corsicana was eliminated from post-season contention after losing 51-47 at home to Whitehouse on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the Lady Eagles (23-5, 7-1) strengthened their hold on first place with the win.
Jasmine Parson led Jacksonville in scoring with 14 points.
Chancii Scott and DeMonica Franklin added six each.
The Maidens went 6-of-6 from the free throw line in the game.
