TYLER —
Jacksonville High School's junior varsity tennis team opened its spring campaign by playing in the Tyler Lee Tournament on Tuesday in Tyler.
Tribe tennis sent a full contingent of players to the tourney, with the school's best showing taking place in girl's doubles.
Carolina Landin and Jocabed Saldana teamed up to win the consolation crown.
Landin & Saldana opened the day by coming out on the short end of an 8-5 decision to a team from Tyler Lee.
But after that loss they regrouped to reel off three-straight wins, over teams from Whitehouse, Forney and Kilgore.
