JACKSONVILLE —
Expect traffic in the vicinity of the Curtis Carroll Fieldhouse on the Jacksonville College campus to be much heavier than normal Saturday afternoon as the Jaguars and Lady Jaguars are scheduled to host teams from Blinn College, beginning at 2 p.m. with the women's game.
The men's contest will follow and should start about 4 p.m.
Saturday is homecoming at JC, and in addition to the Region XIV games, several events are slated to take place during halftime of the men's game that should be of interest to most all Jag/Lady Jag fans and supporters.
First, the Peggy and Vernon Harton Basketball Court will be officially dedicated.
Over the summer the playing surface at the Curtis Carroll Fieldhouse received a refurbishment, which was made possible by the Harton family.
Members of the 1963 Jaguar basketball team are also scheduled to be introduced during the break in the action.
And finally, presentation of the homecoming court and crowning of the school's Homecoming Queen 2013 will take place.
