Region XIV's Navarro puts away Middle Georgia

Bulldogs to face East Miss. in nationa QF tonight

HUTCHINSON,Kan. — Matt Pressey scored 23 points, including a put back with just under 20 seconds to play as Navarro College, the Regikon XIV champions, edged Middle Georgia College, 66-65, Tuesday in an opening round game of the NJCAA Championship Tournament.

The win, the first for the Bulldogs at the national tourney, came at the Hutchinson Sports Arena.

NC (29-5) will play East Mississippi (19-6) at 8 p.m. tonight in a quarterfinal affair.

'Middle Georgia wraps up the year with a 28-4 worksheet.
