JACKSONVILLE — Dear Fellow Republicans:
For many years Republican voters have worked long and hard to capture House District 11 from Democrat Chuck Hopson. When Chuck originally decided to run for office, he chose to be a Democrat. Chuck chose to continue to run through five elections as a Democrat and continued to support the Democratic Platform and the Democratic agenda. He chose to go to Ardmore, Oklahoma in order to block the Republican redistricting plan and force the Democrat Party agenda on East Texas. Make no mistake, Chuck Hopson is a Democrat.
Chuck Hopson is now trying to run in YOUR Republican primary, and claims to now be a Republican. There are only two REAL Republicans in this race: Allan Cain and Dr. Michael Banks. Elite Austin politicians and special interest groups are trying every day to convince you that Chuck is on our side. Based on Chuck’s financial reports, it appears that over 90% of his contributions have come from outside the district from special interest groups and Democrats and not the voters of HD 11. East Texans do not need anyone from outside our district helping make up our minds about who is the best true conservative Republican candidate to fill this highly important seat.
What we would say to you is don’t be fooled; Chuck Hopson is a Democrat, not a Republican. Vote your choice in this election but please, vote for one of our two conservative Republicans and not a Democrat trying to say he is now a Republican.
We must keep real conservative Republicans in office this crucial redistricting year and can not afford to elect RHINO’s like Chuck Hopson. (Republicans in name only).
