RUSK — Graveside services for Allene Hobson, age 92, of Rusk are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 17, 2012 at Providence Cemetery near Elkhart, TX under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hobson went to be with the Lord on February 12th, 2012.  She was born May 13, 1919 in Cushing, TX to the late James Madison and Pauline Agnes Bass.  Mrs. Hobson was a lifelong resident of Rusk and a member of the First Baptist Church in Rusk.  She was a school teacher for 35 years in the surrounding vicinities.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Granville Hobson.  Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Hobson Power of Dallas, TX, one grandson, Russell Blane Power and wife Henrica of Dallas, one granddaughter, Ashley Power Gomez and husband J.J. of Dallas, two great grandsons, Major Power and Alexander Vanderaa of Dallas, two great granddaughters, Scout and Harper Gomez of Dallas, and brother, Raymond Leon Bass of Dallas.

Family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday, February 17, 2012 at Wallace-Thompson funeral home in Rusk.  Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of the First Baptist Church of Rusk.  372 East 4th St., Rusk, TX 75785.
