JACKSONVILLE —
Funeral services for James D. “Doug” Gleason, age 76, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 4:00 pm Monday, September 17, 2012 at Autry Funeral Home chapel, Jacksonville with Frank Holrath officiating.
Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Maydelle.
Mr. Gleason passed away Thursday, September 13, 2012 in Tyler.
He was born December 23, 1935 in Jacksonville, TX.
Mr. Gleason was a Baptist, served in the United States Army and was a truck driver.
He is preceded in death by his parents John and Jessie Gleason, 2 brothers, 5 sisters and step-daughter Sheila Bell.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years Florieda Gleason of Jacksonville; son David Gleason and wife Cheryl of Pensacola, FL; step-sons Dennis Carey and wife Brinda of Rogers, AR, Steve Carey and wife Fayline of Whitehouse, and Patrick Carey and wife Laura of Whitehouse; daughter Carmen Ryan and fiancé Ray Linthicum of Lake Palestine; step-daughters Deborah Dorsey and husband Keith of Henderson and Theresa Brown and husband Robert of Henderson; twenty grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Justin Ryan, Jonathon Ryan, Jeffery Gleason, Joshua Gleason, James Green, and Joey Green.
Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
