JACKSONVILLE —
Mrs. Ward passed away Mon., Feb. 4, 2013 in Jacksonville at the age of 89.
She was born Nov. 26, 1923 in Emhouse, Texas.
Mrs. Ward worked for many years as a CNA in Houston and Van. However, she considered her main job to be that of taking care of her family. They will always remember her acting silly, dancing and singing around the house and laughing as she did her work. She will be truly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents Clay Johnson Meador and Sarah Jane Rich Meador, sister Wanda Louise Meador, and brothers William “Billy” Meador and Homer Meador.
Survivors include her husband Charlie Luther Ward of Jacksonville; daughters Patsy Lee Jayroe and husband Rodney of Jacksonville and Catherine Ingram and husband Allen of Lake Fork; grandsons David Smith of Athens, Doug Smith of Van, and Brandon Jayroe of Palestine; and several great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
