JACKSONVILLE —
Funeral services for Robert Gilstrap, age 65, of Jackson-ville, were held Monday, January 21, 2012, at Wood-land Heights Baptist Church in Jacksonville, TX with Brother Donny Sadler officiating.
Burial was in Earl’s Chapel Cemetery, Jacksonville, TX.
Mr. Gilstrap passed away Friday, January 18, 2013, in Jackson-ville.
He was born July 14, 1947, in Wichita, Kansas.
Mr. Gilstrap was a Truck Driver for Central Freight Lines for 35 years, served as a peace officer and in the US Navy.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lee and Grace Gilstrap and a brother Tom Gilstrap.
Survivors include his wife Wanda Gilstrap of Jacksonville, TX; sons Terry Gilstrap and wife Sharon of Jacksonville, TX, John Burns and wife Katrina of Rusk, TX, and Scott Burns of Palestine, TX; daughters Tressa Goodman and husband Billy of Jacksonville, TX, Tracie Cusano and Husband Tony of Canton, TX, and Stacy Pollard and husband Jason of Jacksonville, TX, 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
His grandsons served as pallbearers.
A visitation was held January 20, 2012 at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville, TX.
