RUSK —
Funeral services for Ima Mae Smith, age 91, of Rusk are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 30, 2012 in the Rusk Church of Christ with Robby Arrington officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Rusk.
Mrs. Smith died July 27, 2012 in a Jacksonville Hospital. She was born August 14, 1920 in New Summerfield, TX to the late Henry Westbrook and Kitty Belle Dalby Dotson. Mrs. Smith was a resident of Rusk and a former long time resident of the Houston area. She was a member of the Rusk Church of Christ and a homemaker.
Preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Thomas Howard Smith, daughter, Jo Ann Smith, six brothers, Harmon, Travis, Allen, Clifford, Roy and Floyd Dotson, one sister, Mildred Davis. Survivors include and son and daughter-in-law, Howard Keith and Carolyn Smith of Pasadena, TX, two sisters, Azile Harrison of Mesquite, TX, Cora Wiley of Waco, TX, one grandson, Matthew Smith and wife Rhianni of Houston, TX, sister-in-law, Carmen Dotson of Rusk, numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, July 29, 2012 at the funeral home.
