JACKSONVILLE —
Funeral services for Elvie Sanders, age 94, of Troup, are scheduled for 10:00 am Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Autry Funeral Home chapel, Jacksonville with Rev. David Hallum officiating.
Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Park, Jacksonville.
Mr. Sanders passed away Monday, September 24, 2012 in Jacksonville.
He was born December 4, 1917 in Taylor, TX.
Mr. Sanders served in the United States Army during World War II, was a member of I.B.E.W. and was a retired electrician.
He is preceded in death by his sons James Earl Sanders and Elvie Adrian Sanders.
Survivors include his wife Marie Sanders of Troup; son Darrell “Lucky” Sanders of Troup; sisters Odessa Wells of Jacksonville and June McDow of Palestine; two grandchildren Annie Williams and husband Johnny and Cheryl Richardson and husband Eddie; six great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be David Claiborne, Austin Claiborne, Mike Sanders, Johnny Williams, Jeremy Williams and Austin Williams.
