WILSON —
Clarissa Henderson, 96, of Wilson, Texas passed away from this life to her heavenly reward on Sunday, July 8th, 2012. at the age of 96. She was born January 16, 1916 in Rusk, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband Virgil and son Donnie.
She is survived by her sons, David and wife Mitsue, John and wife Mary, Paul and wife Glendean; and a brother, Luther Moore of Jacksonville. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, David, Cindy, Sandra, Victor, Carlton, Cheryl and Mandy, along with numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 10, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Combest Family Funeral Homes in Tahoka, Texas and Celebration of Life will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Wilson, Texas with Reverend Billy Parmer officiating.
Graveside service/interment will be at the Meadow Cemetery, in Jacksonville, Texas on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.
Clarissa’s life was centered in serving our Lord through First Baptist Church of Wilson for 63 years in just about every capacity. A special thanks to a great group of ladies in the Lydia class that made her feel so special.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Benevolence Committee.
Our Mother was a Proverbs 31 woman and indeed her children “rise up and call her blessed”.
