JACKSONVILLE —
Funeral services for Merline Kitchens, age 85, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wed., Jan. 16, at Autry Funeral Home chapel in Jacksonville with with Charles Dickerson officiating..
Burial will be held at Providence Cemetery in Jacksonville.
Mrs. Kitchens passed away Sun., Jan. 13, 2013 in Palestine.
She was born January 13, 1928 in Maydelle.
Mrs. Kitchens was a member of Cove Springs Community Church in Jacksonville and was a retired Wal Mart sales clerk.
She is preceded in death by husband W. F. “Red” Kitchens, grandson Tim Kitchens, brothers Lester Johnson, Milburn Wallace, Thomas Wallace and Billie Ray Wallace.
Survivors include her sons Larry Kitchens of Jacksonville and Gary Kitchens of Lovelady; daughter Donna Eaves of Tyler; sister Wanda Ivey of Jacksonville; four grandchildren Shon Coxe, Devin Eaves, Skye Eaves and Susan Kitchens Townley; five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be nephews and Mitch Cauley.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Tues., Jan. 15 at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
