JACKSONVILLE — Memorial services for Jerry Bob Helm, age 60, of Rusk are scheduled for 2 p.m., Sat., Jan. 12,  in First Baptist Church in Rusk with Rev. Don Copeland officiating.

Mr. Helm died Jan. 3, 2013 at his residence.  He was born Jan. 4, 1952 in Nacogdoches to the late Marvin Dick Helm and Ernestine Wallace Helm Wise.  Mr. Helm was a resident of Rusk most of his life and also lived in Houston where he worked for KRBE Radio as a Disc Jockey for over 10 years.  Mr. Helm graduated from a watch and clock school in Paris, Texas where he received a certification as a watch and clock repair technician.  He served in the United States Navy in the Western Pacific and was a member of First Baptist Church in Rusk.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Joe Dick Helm, Michael Don Helm and Stephen Wayne Helm.  Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Scott Ryan and Rocio Helm of Rusk, granddaughter, Myla Grace Helm of Rusk, three nieces, Kristilynn Ruth, Shelly Petersen and Amy Blackwell, three nephews, Brian Helm, Jody Helm and Cody Helm.  There will be no visitation.
