JACKSONVILLE — Graveside services for Ellen Allison “Alice” Tutt, age 85, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 10:00 am Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Larissa Cemetery in Mt. Selman, TX .with Rev. Donald L. Britton officiating.

Services are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.

She was born in Maydelle, TX. to Robert (Jack) Pryor and Alice Mae Phillips Pryor on August 11, 1926 and went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 25, 2012. She was graduated from Maydelle High School where she was selected as “Most Likely to be in Who’s Who” and from Nixon Business School in Tyler. She married the love of her life, Marvin Tutt, on September 17, 1944. They were united in marriage by the beloved Rev. C. R. Meadows of Jacksonville.

Mrs. Tutt was very active in church work throughout the years, having served as recording secretary, treasurer, Sunday School teacher, WMA teacher, GMA teacher and song leader at various times. Currently she was the corresponding secretary for University Baptist Church of Tyler where she was a member. She had previously been a long time member of Travis Street Baptist Church. She was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Calvin Pryor. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Marvin Tutt, a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Glenn Thompson of Tyler, a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Rebecca Tutt of Irving, 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, a brother, Faxton Pryor of Kerens, and a sister, Agnes Fox of Palestine.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 pm Friday, July 27, 2012 at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
