BULLARD — Graveside services for Mrs. Willie Jo Davis, age 90, of Bullard will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, March 2, 2012, at Bullard Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Donnie Barron officiating. Willie Jo Davis was born May 26, 1921, in Athens, TX, to Joe Sidney and Kizzie Willie Yates Tompkins. She was a homemaker and had operated the church nursery for eighteen years. She was a member of the Bullard Southern Baptist Church. Mrs. Davis went to be with her Lord on February 29, 2012, at a Whitehouse Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ira Davis, three brothers, Omer, Sidney, and Hubert Tompkins. Mrs. Davis is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Jackie Sue Davis of Gallatin, Larry andJimmie L. Davis of Price, a daughter and son-in-law, Virginia and Bob Walston of Flint, one sister, Alice Dodd of Groesbeck, three brothers, Elmer Tompkins of Noonday, Billy Tompkins of Tyler, Jack Tompkins of Noonday, nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Newburn, Charles Morton Jr., David French, Kenneth King, and David Campbell. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 at Boren-Conner Funeral Home and Covenant Cremations, Hwy. 69 S., Bullard, TX.
