JACKSONVILLE —
Funeral services for Fred H. “Corkey” Montgomery, age 70, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wed., Dec. 12, at Autry Funeral Home chapel, Jacksonville.
Burial will be held at Still Waters Memorial Gardens, Jacksonville.
Mr. Montgomery passed away Mon., Dec. 10, 2012 in Tyler.
He was born Nov. 29, 1942 in Edinburg, Texas.
Mr. Montgomery was a self-employed head hunter in the oil and gas industry and served in the United States Army Reserves.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jason Earl Montgomery and Thelma Lee Parks Montgomery.
Survivors include his son Howard Montgomery Jr. and wife Susan of Rusk; daughter Kara Hancock of Jacksonville; brothers Frank Montgomery of Wimberley, Monty Montgomery of San Antonio area and Jason “Skipper” Montgomery of Helotes; five grandchildren Andrew Montgomery, Sarah and Hanna Hancock and Holie and Howie Montgomery.
Visitation with the family will be from 9 – 10 a.m., Wed., Dec. 12, at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
